Accident happened on a stretch of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track where construction was taking place

It's not often you get to see a police car on the Nürburgring.

An eight-car pileup on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track has resulted in several cars being severely damaged. The cars and drivers came from various European countries.

On a stretch of the track where construction was taking place, one driver failed to slow down quickly enough and caused a chain-reaction crash that also resulted in the BMW M3 Ring Taxi being hurtled up against the guard-rail. Most of the cars involved were damaged past the point of being roadworthy.

Police estimate the total property damage at about €100,000.

No injuries were reported.

pai nu cred ca se baga asigurarile la asa ceva

De obicei la Ring daca ai provocat un accident tu trebuie sa platesti pentru tot. De exemplu daca iesi de pe track si intri in bariere trebuie sa platesti reparatia + timpul cat circuitul este inchis.

Se pare ca nu a fost semnalizat corespunzator circuitul in portiunea in care se lucra

Why no safety marshalls accompanying the repair crew? Why no flag marshalls? When TF was only 500 people, I understand that flag marshalls cost too much. But when 1000s of cars trying to drive, flag marshalls will save lives.

Unfortunately for TF fans, I suspect the answer might be a speed limit rather than a safety worker...

una peste alta eu nu inteleg care era ideea cu SAVE the Ring cand la ei este aglomeratie maxima pe circuit si sigur ies bani buni si pe langa circuit, numai vedeti aglomeratia din filmuletz inainte sa intre oamenii pe circuit, si cred ca wknd de wknd e la fel
